yes they plan on making games for it but they wont be at the level of the 360 games... and no two split 256 "pools" is not the same as one 512 "pool" as you put it. JUST FACE THE FACT THAT YOU WAITED A YEAR LONGER FOR A SYSTEM THAT IS LESS CAPABLE! deal with it.

it really is quite something on my 50" samsung dlp HD set. I wonder if that is realtime in engine or prerendered cause it looks mind blowing.
i would bet $ that MS is buying the diodes at 2-3x thier worth just to cause trouble for sony... i mean they have the $$ to do it, sony doesnt... its funny.

"normal processors can only handle one thing at a time" as far as I know pentiums 4's have been doing 2x things since 2002, and now with both amd/intels multi-core & multi thread procs, at faster clock speeds and able to do general purpose processing... the cell just sucks balls standing next to them.
only thing is they cant make ebough ps3 either, 500k IF THAT are all that will be there for launch, but there has been talk now that they wont even make that and that thier projected 2 mil by year end will fall short by as much as 50%

i belive that in many important ways the 360 is better to make games on and he know this like the fact that it has unified memory, many devs have stated that this is a big plus and as such certain games can only be done on the 360 or PC becuase of PS3 lack of it. Also I am sure that there are other things as well.
halo 3 is still quite a ways off. its kinda unfair to try and show it against such a polished game. I am quite sune halo 3 will deliver... if only because they HAVE to or microsoft will kill them.
samsung dlp tvs are great for gaming, and pretty cheap.
funny thing is more than half of the people that buy this wont be able to see any difference from a standard DVD because they still have 480p or worse TV's. This may just backfire and people will watch and say... "This is what HD is all about... garbage! i wouldnt be surpprised if MS and intel or AMD team up under a no compeat type of contract. Something where both parties sped $$ for R&D but MS could only use its chips for something like its game counsoles and intel/AMD could use them else where this way MS would benifit from the existing knowlage and deveopment that both AMD/intel have and am/d intel would both benifit from the shared finacial burden. It all would make perfect economic sence for al parties.
also another thing i belive is that every language is on this disk as well to save in production cost, so if it were released in a per location format like MS does im sure they would be able to save even more space. And like was said before I doubt that they used the best compression out there. This game could have easily been done on the 360 and probably better since it has unified memory.
